Hi, I'm Cheyenne — a born-and-raised Michigan mama of five, wife, homemaker, and the hands behind Mitten Mama Tallow Co.

I've always had a deep love for the outdoors, gardening, animals, and the simple, traditional way of life. Growing up on a farm and participating in 4-H taught me the value of hard work, caring for animals, respecting the land, and making the most of what we've been given. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and are values I strive to pass on to my own children.

As a mother, one of my greatest joys is teaching my children to appreciate God's creation — spending time outdoors, growing and harvesting from the garden, learning from nature, caring for animals, and understanding where the things we use every day come from. I want them to value the wisdom passed down through generations and recognize the blessings found in a simpler, more intentional way of living.

Mitten Mama Tallow Co. began with a simple desire: to make better choices for my family. I wanted cleaner ingredients, traditional practices, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what I was putting on my skin and on the skin of my children.

I believe there is beauty and purpose in the way God designed creation. Through traditional practices, we can thoughtfully use the resources He has provided and care for them with gratitude and intention. Tallow is a wonderful example of this—allowing us to honor the whole animal, reduce waste, and make use of a time-tested ingredient that has nourished skin for generations.

Each product is handcrafted by me in small batches. I personally render the tallow and carefully select natural ingredients to create products that are simple, nourishing, and made with purpose.

My hope is to help bring us back to our roots—to slow down, reconnect with the land, appreciate God's provision, and embrace products inspired by traditional living.

What began as a way to care for my own family has grown into a mission to help other families feel confident in the products they use every day.
